Mid-Month Musings:
Hellooo, bookworms! We're back with your mid-month dose of literary goodness on My Sister's TBR. June is in full swing, and even though life feels like a whirlwind, we've carved out some time to chat about the books keeping us company and the latest buzz in the book world.
What We're Reading:
This month, our reading tastes are as diverse as ever. Rebecca’s still lost in the captivating world of Prythian with "A Court of Silver Flames," while Stacey is venturing into the magical realm of "Lightlark" for our June book club pick. There's a pause on mafia romance with "Created on Chaos," but the quirky charm of "The Love of My Afterlife" is filling the void with laughter.
And then there's our featured read, "Just For the Summer" by Abby Jimenez. Seriously, this book is pure sunshine! We're both smitten with Emma and Justin's fake dating escapades, and we can't wait to share our full thoughts in our end-of-month deep dive on June 30th. Trust us, you won't want to miss it!
Bookish News & Buzz:
Of course, it wouldn't be a mid-month episode without some juicy book news. We're discussing Costco's surprising decision to scale back their book offerings, the exciting returns of both Suzanne Collins (with a new Hunger Games prequel) and Brandon Sanderson (with "Wind and Truth"), and the latest developments on Netflix's highly anticipated Narnia adaptation.
